This Car
  • First registered on the 1st of January 1967 in the USA.
  • Whilst not a matching numbers example, the car is fitted with a period correct 905 gearbox and 911L 2.0 engine.
  • There is little in the way of the car’s early history, but we do know that it made its way over to Singapore at some stage, and then later on to England in 2012.
  • The owner brought the car to Canford Classics here in the UK with a view to putting it into storage, and then taking it over to the continent every now again to take part in light touring events.
  • Upon it’s arrival, a comprehensive list of works was curated and completed; which included:
    • Full bare metal respray in Porsche Gold Metallic
    • Full re-chrome
    • All new rubbers (windscreen, doors, engine bay etc.)
    • Full suspension refurbishment, including front Koni inserts and rear Koni shocks
    • Full brake system refurbishment, including master cylinder, discs, pads lines and flexis
    • Steering rack refurbishment
  • After this work was completed, the owner at the time had a change of plan and decided to sell it on to our current owner in October of 2015, and his plans with the car were to be much of the same.
  • Under current ownership, the car has always been worked on and maintained by Canford Classics. With invoices on file amounting to over £21,000, it’s safe to say that over the last 9 years the car has been incredibly well looked after.
  • Included within the long list of work is:
    • 40 PMO carb kit (Dyno’d @184hp)
    • Fuel tank
    • Clutch & fly wheel
    • Avon CR6ZZ Tyres
    • High torque starter motor
    • Front & rear roll bars with all bushes
    • K&N filter kit
  • The end result is an absolutely fantastic period 911.
  • Having covered just over 400 miles in the car personally, I can certainly vouch for its superb build quality, pace and overall reliability.
  • In short, what it lacks in early history, it certainly makes up for in present day build quality, presentation and performance. What a truly cracking car.
